- Syaweli enjoys singing, reading, writing poetry and rowing on the dragon boat team.
- Recipient of the Darlington School Scholarship.
- After graduating from the Darlington School, Syaweli is currently attending the University of Indonesia in Jakarta with the financial help of RIEI. He is studying community health and will be a junior starting August 2011.
